Here are some important points associated with Vietnam visa that must be remembered.

- Business travelers holding APEC Business Travel Card are allowed to stay in Vietnam for less than 60 days.

- Important Update for Visitors Traveling to Phu Quoc Island: From March 10, 2014, foreign nationals and overseas Vietnamese travelers who enter Vietnam via an international border and then travel to Phu Quoc Island, would be permitted to stay for less than 30 days. If these visitors intend to travel to other areas or stay at Phu Quoc Island for more than 30 days, the Vietnam Immigration Department would grant a visa right on the spot.

2. In case I happen to overstay for 1 day on my visa exemption, what should I do?

- In case you overstay on your Vietnam visa for less than 3 days, you are not required to get in touch with the immigration office. You can go to the airport and pay a fine of around 50,000 VND for each day of overstay, upon your exit from the country.

3. I hold a UK passport. Do I have an exemption from visa requirements for my second visit to Vietnam within 30 days?
